The most expensive project activity was the reconstruction and conversion of the old boiler house into a multipurpose sports and leisure center (viacúčelové športovo – rekondičné zariadenie).
In the preparatory phase, for reason of fire safety, hygiene and other practical considerations, it was necessary to create an implementation plan, followed by the public procurement process won by Creacom, s.r.o. from Komarno as the general contractor. In order to ensure the completion of the sports center within a tight lead time, the voluntary work offered by the recovering clients of the “Hope” Center was also necessary in addition to the work executed by the general contractor and subcontractors.
The small sports-floor gym equipped with football goals, volleyball net, basketball hoop, wall bars, plyo boxes and benches was built in the central elevated part of the building having undergone full-scale reconstructions inside and outside. The table tennis room – equipped with two new tables – is located to the right from the gym, and the fitness room is in the right wing of the building, equipped with gears, such as a treadmill, ab bench, barbell bench, spinning bike, stepper, fitness tower and adjustable hand weights. The changing rooms and sanitary facilities are located in the left wing of the building.
The multipurpose sports and leisure center is open for the residents and students of the village at pre-arranged times, and accessible through the entrance from the street.
